Vanessa Martinez

Bio

Vanessa was born in Reno, Nevada, but spent much of her childhood living in different places before eventually returning home. She began her legal career nearly eight years ago in immigration law before transitioning to family law after moving back to Reno in 2021. Since then, Vanessa has dedicated her career to helping individuals and families navigate some of life’s most challenging moments with compassion, empathy, and attention to detail.

Vanessa joined Surratt Law Practice after being referred by a former employee who believed her work ethic and client-focused approach would make her an excellent fit for the firm. With a genuine passion for the legal field and a natural ability to connect with people, Vanessa enjoys building strong cases while helping clients feel supported throughout the legal process.

Outside of the office, Vanessa enjoys traveling, discovering new restaurants, and spending time with her husband and their two beloved dogs, Tobias and Bruno. She also comes from a large family with six siblings, has explored more than 25 states, and, despite surviving six car accidents, has somehow never broken a single bone.
