If no specific rate of interest is provided for in a legal document, the default is the prime rate of interest at the largest bank in Nevada, plus two percent.  The rate adjusts each January and July 1.  The current legal rate of interest in Nevada is 5.25 percent.  Judgments accrue interest at the legal rate if no other rate is provided for by a Judge or Court.  That means that past due child support or spousal support that has been reduced to judgment accrues interest at 5.25 percent until the rate adjusts again on July 1.  The link above gives a more detailed explanation of the process.
